How long does a custom wood door take?
It depends on the wood, the size and how much carving there is. The timeline is written on your quote, so you know it before anything is ordered.
Do you install hurricane impact front doors?
Yes. Where code calls for a rated opening we install approved impact-rated wood front doors from certified makers. Our shop-built carved doors are not impact-rated, and we tell you which applies to your house at the visit.
Will a wood door warp in Florida?
Not if it is built from acclimated wood and sealed on all six sides, as ours are.
Do you handle the permit?
Yes. Where a front door replacement needs a permit, we handle it and list it as its own line on the quote.
Can you replace a door in a historic house?
Yes. In St. Petersburg's local historic districts a new front door needs city approval first, and we can draw and build a replica of the original for that review.
Will you install a door I already bought?
Yes. We hang heavy wood doors from other makers, including doors bought online, and remove the old door and frame.
Do you build modern doors as well as carved ones?
